Beastly Mage
Gaara of the Desert
Today's card is a new version of Gaara. This one is
back when he was a Genin, and he's one of the few
with that rank that have Hand Cost. He allows you to
pay two of any Chakra to return one Ninja on your
side to the hand, which allows you to return a Ninja
your Opponent controls to its owner's hand. This
effect can be used during your Mission Phase. The
only condition is that your Ninja has to have the
same Entrance Cost as the Ninja you want to return
to your Opponent's hand. This can be used in cases
where you need to bounce a bothersome Ninja to your
Opponent's hand and maybe you also need to rescue
one of your own Ninjas (let's say that you have a
Ninja with a status change coin, has a Mission
attached, or is just injured). He's useful, but the
Entrance Cost match can be bad at times. If it would
have been "Equal or Less" then it would be better.
He's still good, but not as much as you'd think.
