Beastly Mage

Motionless

Today's card is a Mission from S23. Motionless is a full Permanent with a countering effect. When a Player uses a Jutsu card, then this Mission goes to its owner's Chakra Area. Then the Opponent of the Player draws three cards. Just in case, when you play this Mission you're the owner. When your Opponent plays a Jutsu, you move this Mission to your Chakra Area and draw three cards. It's a good thing when things get tight, and it doesn't say that there's a specific turn when it has to be played. Drawing three cards is always good, and from T2 that's even better. Though not something game-changing, it's still good. Try it and see!

If you've played Magic: The Gathering, you can probably tell that Bandai plagiarized the effect of this card from the card "Standstill". Not only do both cards have virtually the same effect, but they also have similar names. Pointless trivia aside, this card is decent, but it's on the worst element it could be on. Lightning's strong point is its ridiculous chakra generation, so it's not really smart to prevent yourself from using your main advantage. The only benefit to playing this card is if you're all ready winning and you're opponent can only come back if they play a jutsu. On the flip-side, if the put in play a game changing card, you're screwed if you need to start a jutsu chain to gain back your lead.

It's a card that will make your opponent think twice before playing a jutsu, but it can hurt you as well if things go awry.
