Beastly Mage

The 3rd Tsuchikage

Today we're looking at the Earth Shadow himself. We're looking at a Triple-Symbol Ninja here. Being Earth/Fire/Wind makes the 1 Hand Cost flexible. At T6 he does have somewhat low Combat, being 4 in Healthy and 2 while Injured. Though, having 5 Support while Healthy and 4 while Injured makes up for that. Sometimes the good Ninja is the one that can watch your back (if you would put it that way). He doesn't have Mental Power, which to some may be odd for a Satoosa-Level Ninja. He's also lacking in Mastery, which is something many players look in big Ninjas. His "Name: Onoki" Characteristic would serve for a future purpose (flashback versions, etc.). His Effect, though not Valid, is worth the run IMO. When a Ninja (or Ninjas) you control is targeted by a Jutsu, and any of those Ninjas share a Symbol with this guy, you can pay 1 Colorless to negate that Jutsu, send it to the top of your Opponent's deck, and then the User of that Jutsu becomes a Stand-By Ninja.

Too fast for ya?

For a little guy, he sure packs a punch! Protecting your Ninjas is great, even if he doesn't protect himself. Running some extra Negation helps in this case. Since he's got three Symbols you can protect more Ninjas. And it's not just the negation part that's great. He sends that Jutsu to the top of your Opponent's deck, which would make the next draw a bit of a dud, and making the User go Stand-By can help too. If it's a Back Ninja, that would probably turn the tide of the fight in your favor. Sometimes the Support is what makes the difference. In Limited he can actually do good (even if he's a late-turn).
