Taught by the first and second Hokage, Sarutobi has memorized over 1000 skills. That has enabled him to become the Hokage. Also, when he was a jounnin, he also led a team of 3 that consisted of the Legendary Sennin (Tsunade, Jiraya, and Orichimaru). However, Orichimaru escaped from Konoha because of his thirst for power, and returned during the Chuunin Exam to face his master, Sarutobi. Sarutobi was killed eventually, but he sealed Orichimaru's hands. |
