The 3-2-1's of Deck Building
9-6-06
N. Jolly

Hi, my name is N. Jolly...and this little bit of words involves the 3-2-1's of deck construction.  Confused?  Well, let me explain...

The 3 of the deck is cards that are vital to the deck.  Most decks can say "Kunai" for this, but some people just throw things in because they don't know what eles to put in.  These are cards that should almost always be useful, like "Wind Scythe Jutsu", which can almost always work and has a low cost, or "Stone Bullet", which is a great one chakra counter to any attack(especially against a Sasuke).  These cards can be used at almost all times, making them cards that can and should be run in threes.

Now comes the 2.  These are most of your cards, and should be just about everything you have.  This is so that even if you know your opponent has one of your cards(Kakashi), you know you still can draw another one.  This also stops your strategy from falling apart because you let your opponent get in a quick strike.  2 is the most essential part of any deck, and should make up about 70% of your cards.

And here comes 1.  Now this is a number I hate.  The only reason to ever run one of a card in my opinion is because you only have one of it.  The only exception to this little rule is the "Equality" run.  This is if one card is almost the same as the other(Eg; Sasuke AOC and Sasuke No.1 R) then they can be run as one each.  Running one of a card makes it harder to draw, and easy to lose.  Never base your deck around one card.

Well, this is the 3-2-1's of deck building, and I hope it helped.

N. Jolly
