Last night, Neopets
was fried, so I wasn't sure if I would be able to
get a COTD done. But, luckily, it's back up today,
and I was able to get onto the Checklist section.
Anyway, today's card is one with a similar effect to
Wednesday's card, Island Paintbrush.
Snarling Totem
Item | Totem
Strength +2 | Agility +1 | Magic +1 | Intelligence
+1 "Before your turn, if this card is in your Bank,
you may discard it to choose one of your opponent's
Neopets in play and discard it. (A Basic Neopet
that's discarded is put on the bottom of its owner's
Neopet stack.)"
Bank: 2
In my opinion, this card is not as good as
Wednesday's card, although it does have its uses. It
is slightly slower than Island Paintbrush, as you
need to Bank it on your turn and wait until the
start of your next turn, at the earliest. However,
it does have its uses, and it is definitely not a
horrible card.
Snarling Totem has horrid stat boosts for a Holofoil
Item, and a measly Bank stat of 2, neither of which
make the card even remotely playable. But people
rarely play Item cards for their stats anymore. At
least, I would hope that is the case... You will
want to have this card Banked A.S.A.P., making it an
excellent draw in your opening hand. Having the
option to just discard any problematic Experienced
Neopet is just great. If a Grarrl Gladiator is
holding up the Strength arena, you can just discard
this come your turn, and it is no longer a problem.
Poogle Racers? Gone. Battle Eyries? Finito.
4/5 - Definitely a good card, although the effect of
it is slightly weak. If it were able to discard
Villains in the same way, or if you could do it at
any time, then this card would be so much better.

Well, its friday,
and once again we start the weekend off with a
pretty interesting card. At first, when you look at
snarling totem, you may think its mediocre and not
worthy of being holo, but when you look closer, it
can disrupt your opponents stratagy. This card is
all about the effect, "before your turn, if this
card is in your bank, you may discard it to choose
one of your opponents Neopets in play and discard
it" basic neopets are placed on the bottom of the
owners neopets stack. Looking at the bank points,
you may not think its worth playing, but disrupting
a stratagy[other than your own] is alway a good
thing.
...........................Pros and cons!!
Pros+
+Effect
Cons-
-Low Bank[Not that you'd use it for the bank]
-Low stats
I give this a grand score of 3.5/5- This is a great
card if used right, but it dosent work for everyone.
Next week- Hmm a negg, so many to choose from, i
wonder which one we will be reviewing ? :-)
