Sentient Poogle Plushie -- 3.5 / 5
If I'm playing a Dark or Water deck, this guy
usually has at least a slot in it. It's just a
little too tempting to have a 1-point advantage on
almost any dude your opponent has stuck in your way.
The only reason it doesn't get a 4 or better is the
fact that equipment and items aren't effected,
giving your opponent an easy way out of a bad
situation. |

This is maybe
the biggest reason why Dark and Water are so popular
in this game. If you’re playing Dark, Water or even
both, there’s no reason to not put this card into
your deck. It is quite simply a staple in this game.
You can kill off villains easily with this card, or
you can extremely cripple your opponent’s pets by
using this card. Just remember to have another pet
or hero with MSPP to help out when you’re doing a
normal contest, though, since 1 in every arena isn’t
what you call good.
I’d give it a 5/5, it’s THAT good! |

Sentient Poogle Plushie
Hero – Poogle – Dark/Water
Str 1; Agi 1; Mag 1; Int 1;
To play this, tap 1 of your Dark or Water Neopets.
When this Hero is in a contest, each of its rivals'
stats becomes 0. They still get bonuses from
Equipment and Items.
I must say, this is my absolute favorite card in all
of Neopets. It kind of reminds me of the Simpson’s
Halloween episode where the Krusty doll comes to
life and is just evil and creepy, except that
apparently this one must not be evil, since he is a
hero (although he still looks pretty maniacal to
me).
Anyway, onto the actual card stats. Since it’s a
hero, it only sticks around for your turn, and you
need either a Dark or a Water Neopet to tap in the
arena you want to drop this guy. Heroes by effect
are supposed to be one turn power shots, however.
There are a couple of nice things you can do with
this guy. One, you can wait until you opponent has a
Neopet in an arena without any attached equipment
(and preferably without any cards in hand) to get a
good chance to grabbing the victory. It’s a nice
idea, and definitely works at times, but since
you’re only getting a 1 point starting advantage,
and you will almost never have equipment on this
guy, it basically comes down to items and dice
rolls, which can be risky unless you’ve got a great
power up item.
A better strategy with this little guy is to put him
down in an arena against a Villain, since the
villain doesn’t get any items or dice roll bonuses.
He basically becomes an instant Villain beater for
just tapping a Neopet. Personally, I think that’s
where his big strategy lies.
Overall, he’s pretty nice for control type decks
where you’re limiting your opponent’s options. And
you just have to love that sinister grin.
