+0 "To play this in a contest, you need an air
Neopet.
When you play this in a contest, you may choose one
of your opponent's Faerie Heroes in the contest and
take control of it. (It's still in the
contest.) At the end of the contest, discard it."

This card comes with a very interesting effect, and
definitely one that hasn't been seen yet. But is it
good enough to make the cut when it comes time to
make your deck? Let's check it out, using the A BAD
system.
Advantage F/H: The token doesn't give any bonuses to
your Neopets in any arena. But that is not where it
is meant to shine. Taking one of your opponent's
powerful Faerie Heroes can help quite a bit.
However, the effect will only be able to be used on
your opponent's turn, or on Space Faerie on your
turn, as Heroes are discarded at the end of the
turn. Plus, there aren't many Faerie Heroes that are
worth playing. That drops the rating significantly.
3/10
Best Draw for the Situation: You never REALLY want
to draw this card. Never.
You don't know what your opponent is going to play
on their turn. Perhaps if this worked against Faerie
Villains as well, it might be better.
1/10
Attributes/Effect: This is an Air card, and has a
Bank of 3. It doesn't give a stat boost, and the
effect is completely sub-standard. Sure, you COULD
get control of your opponent's Faerie Hero, but it
will only be during their turn (unless it is the
Space Faerie), so it isn't going to help you bank or
draw. I would say if you're using this in you're
deck, you'll draw all three before being able to
successfully use its effect, 9 times out of 10.
However, it's Bank stat makes it at least somewhat
playable.
2/10
Dependability: You can never depend on your
opponent's deck. You just really
can't. Any cards, like this one, that depend on what
your opponent packs in
their deck are completely up to chance. In YGO or
MTG, they would be
sideboard cards, in case of going up against a
certain deck type. I don't
know if there are sideboards in Neopets... Besides,
there are no really
strong or problematic Faerie Heroes to worry about.
Possibly if the Water
Faerie, or the Mystery Island "Cauldron" Faerie
(yes, she IS a Faerie, I do
believe), or some other Faerie become very strong
and an incredible deck
type, this card would be playable. Since that isn't
the case...
0/10
A BAD Score: 6/40 = 1.5/10
Hopefully Deke came up with a way to use this card.
I personally see it as a
completely pointless Charm (the weakest of its kind)
that would work for a
below average Bank. I can't see any reason for using
this, except for
countering a "Space Faerie Drop", which won't happen
often.
