Does anybody remember the Grey Faerie?  Well, the Rainbow Pteri is basically the Experienced Neopet version of that card, and it only works for you.  I believe that this card will become one of the most popular cards from the set, simply because of the options it opens up.  Basically, using this card, you can play any SHH card you want, because you now have every Faerie type on the board.  Not a good enough reason?  Anybody that plays the Villain Stall decks just found a new friend, because now they can play ANY Villain they want, plus whatever other Experienced pets they choose.  Need more?  The Rainbow Pteri comes with a mediocre Agility stat, and a pretty good Magic stat.  If you're not satisfied yet, you're nuts, but let's consider the other cards types you can now play any of, like Heroes, Locations, Items...

So, what's the catch?  Well, there is one.  When you build your deck around most Experienced pets faerie types, you don't need the Experienced out to use a card requiring the Faerie type because your Basic pet has the faerie type too.  Basic Pteris don't have all the faerie types, only Air, so any of your other cards requiring something other than Air can't be played until you get the Experienced Rainbow Pteri into play.  The good news is, the SHH that lets you get an Experienced pet, Take a Dip, just so happens to be of the Air type.  Lucky us ;)

Ratings:

Like I said, I see this card becoming very popular.  I like the options it opens up for people's decks.  I will almost certainly run this in a few decks of my own should I ever manage to collect enough.  4.7 of 5

Rainbow Pteri

We begin the brand new Mystery Island set with an incredibly interesting card, Rainbow Pteri. This is the first of any Neopet, Hero, or Villain with each of the Faerie attributes in it. However, it will definitely not be the last. I have a feeling that, in the future, we'll get more Rainbow Neopets that may come with effect. Only time will tell.

Its stats are quite good for an Experienced Neopet, with a hefty Magic stat of 13, and an above-average Agility stat of 10. You won't want to be placing this little Pteri into the Intelligence or Strength arenas, as it has stats of 5 and 2 respectively.

However, the beauty of this card lies in the fact that it has every Faerie attribute. This means that it fits into any deck that focuses on one or two specific types. As long as it requires only one Neopet, you can use any SHH card by tapping this, it will allow the drop of any Hero or Villain, any Item can be used in a contest with it, and you can equip it with absolutely any equipment card. I think that this will definitely find its way into a few decks.

With Rainbow Pteri on your side, you will be able to combo cards of more than one different type without having to use more than one Neopet. Being able to use ANY card with it is absolutely phenominal, really.

4/5 - I think this card has its uses, and should probably be recognized for them.

Well...Isnt this an interesting card, and a first in the neopets TCG game. Yes, an Experienced Neopet that is every available type out there.

Now, when you first look at this card its like, "Oooohhh Ahhh, you can play in any deck" But you would think its stats would be over the top for being a holo rare. I think the only reason it is a holo rare is because its playable in any deck. Now, dont get me wrong, 10 agility is good, and so is 13 magic, but  there are other experienced neopeted that can top this, but its still stable, so i cant really say too much about it.

Now, too my favorite part of reviewing, yes thats right, you guessed it, the pros and cons:

Pros+
+Is playable in ANY deck[i.e. type wise]
+10 agility
+13 Magic

Cons-
- I dont feel its Holo worthy, but thats not up to me

I give this card an overall experiened neopet rating of 3/5 Mainly because it fits into any deck.

Next Time- Its a Peophin, but what color???
