When you bank this card, each of your Neopets gets
+2 to all stats until the end of the turn.
On with the review. We have an interesting card to
review today, to say the least. On the surface, it’s
an item that can give very decent +3 stat boosts in
half of the contest areas, AND banks for 3. This is
by no means bad. In fact, this card might just see
some play even if the power of this card stopped
there. But it doesn’t as I’m sure you’ve all read.
If you do decide to bank this card, that means that
your Neopets get a nice little stat bump until the
end of the turn. Nothing huge, but I would never
turn down a free stat boost. The fact that this card
banks for 3 makes it much more playable then if it
would bank for 2 (not that it wouldn’t see play
banking for 2, just not as much). So far…all good
things. So here’s a bad one. In order to use this
effectively, you’ve got to win the first contest on
your turn to bank this card, and then you get the
stat boost for your other 2 Neopets to have a go at
their contests. This means that you had better be
sure that your first contest will be won, and that
your other Neopets are ready and able to start a
contest. While you can bank this card to give just 1
Neopet a stat instead of two, you’re honestly better
off banking a tomato and then using the pancakes as
a straight up item stat boost instead.
All in all, certainly not a bad card, but a little
difficult to pull off to get it’s full potential.
Many people will get so caught up in finding the
perfect time to use the ability, that it will just
sit in their hand, worthlessly, for the entire game.
