Pteri Lookout
Neopet/Experienced Pteri/Air
2/11/10/9
Before each of your turns, look at the top card of
your deck and then put it back on either the top or
bottom.
Mystery Island 58/100
Rating: 3.7
Like most Air Neopets, the Pteri Lookout has its
highest stat in agility.
With an 11 in agility and a 10 in magic, this Pteri
is actually playable in either arena. It can even
handle the intelligence arena in a pinch, making it
a good option for any Air deck.
The Pteri Lookout is very similar to the Meerca Spy,
except it affects your deck, not your opponents.
Looking at the top card of your deck and putting it
either on the top or bottom of your deck can be a
huge benefit for several reasons. If you're three
points from winning and need a bankable card, this
will help you get to it faster. In fact, this will
help you get through your deck quickly to find the
cards you need, and put off drawing those that
aren't a priority. Also, if your opponent is playing
the Meerca Spy and puts a card back on top of your
deck that he or she believes you won't need, you can
move it off the top to get something better!
There are also some great cards that can work well
with the Pteri Lookout.
Cards like Star Gazing or Koya, Korbat Huntress can
help you control which cards your draw and when you
draw them. Overall, this is a great addition to the
Air faerie type. I still don't think we'll see this
card used very much because the Pteri's other
Experienced Neopet is the Rainbow Pteri, which seems
quite popular right now. Still, a good card for
rounding out an Air deck.
