This card can be found
in the most recent issue
of the Neopets Magazine,
Issue #8. Although it's
stats are fairly lousy
for an Experienced
Neopet, the effect is
what most players will
be looking at. Whenever
you tap him to move, you
can look for an item,
any item, in your
discard pile, and bring
it back to your hand.
So, if you're using
items like codestones,
potions, or even totems,
this guy could really
come to your aid. Even
the popular Kougra
Archaeologist can't
quite keep up with this
guy ;)
Although the Maraquan
Moehog is both Water and
Dark faerie types, you
can probably expect to
see him most in Aisha
Myriad item recycling
decks with a Faerie
Slingshot attached to
him.
Ratings:
The ability to bring
back any item is a very
powerful ability indeed.
Expect to see this guy
hit the playing field
quickly, and he'll
probably be around for
quite some time.
Although his stats
aren't great, they are
balanced enough to make
him useful in more than
one arena (since he has
to move to use his
ability anyway). He
earns a 4.1 of 5 in my
book.
