Dragonball Z: Supersonic Warriors
A Dragonball title that actually is based on
Dragonball, and works
A classic franchise again rebuilds itself on
Nintendo’s portable handheld to bring the
intense combat from the Japanese animé to
small screen. Supersonic Warriors is
inevitably describes Atari’s latest effort
exceedingly accurately with an almost
simulative representation of the shows
lightening fast aerial, ground and special
moves with familiar styles and story ploys
from the acclaimed series. The title isn’t a
direct sequel to previous games,
providentially, but makes an attempt at
perhaps what every developer working with
the series tries; capture the show’s
plotlines in an enjoyable. Fortunately it
seems Supersonic Warriors (or better known
as Dragon Ball Z: Bukuu Tougeki to Japan)
does the game justice, but to what extent?

Pokemon Emerald Revealed???
Trademark registration hints at the new
title for the next instalment in the Pokemon
series…
We previously brought you details on a new
title in the hugely popular Pokemon series
earlier in the month, as we can today reveal
that the title goes by the name of Pokemon
Emerald; well that’s if you believe the
latest trademarks registered by Nintendo.
It’s not yet known whether this will be
another GameBoy Advance title, or as the
rumours suggest a new title for the Nintendo
DS; given the moniker we’d be inclined to
say that it’s another title for the GameBoy
Advance, but who knows with Nintendo.
The first details on the title are set to be
revealed in the latest issue of Koro Koro
Comic, which hits Japanese newsstands on
July 15th; we’ll have more information soon.

Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors
released.
Atari has released Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic
Warriors today. The game features explosive
aerial battles just like in the anime. This
is the first time this feature is included
in the game series.
The game is basically a 2D fighting title
that allows players to choose between 15
characters from the famous TV series to
engage in tag team battles as well as to
guide through the story mode. Characters
include Goku, Vegeta, Cell and Buu.
Strangely enough, the game is rated 'T' for
Teen though the anime seems to cater for a
pre-teen audience as well.

Nintendo Character Profile | Rouge the
Bat
It is not often that you can say there is
something risqué on the Nintendo GameCube,
but SEGA's Rouge the Bat, with her ample
chest, is the closest thing to smut on the
system!
Rouge is a bewitching young woman
overflowing with feminine charm. At first
glance she appears to be a rather careless
character, but you could not be more wrong.
Never will she just grit her teeth and dive
in. Rouge has no morality and will do
whatever it takes to get to her goal.

The Red Star (PS2) Preview
Greetings, comrades, and welcome to the
United Republic of the Red Star. From the
pages of independent comic series The Red
Star, an alternate version of Soviet Russia
is created when magic and military
industrial technology merge into a stark,
dramatic fantasy we have to admit makes a
badass setting for an action game. Grab your
hammer and sickle, my friend. We’re going to
war.
Reverence for Tradition
The Red Star is a game that defers to the
traditions of old and seemingly has a double
major in beat-em’-up and shooter, not unlike
Canon Spike for the Dreamcast. The sharply
designed characters can shoot, swing a
weapon in close combat, put up an energy
shield, and unleash devastating protocol
attacks (which is what they call super moves
in alternate-Russia). To help you bring your
offensive power to bear on enemies, one
trigger lets you strafe and lock onto
targets, and another lets you pivot in
place.
