Fans get a double dose of the Blue Eyes White Dragon!
An announcement was made today by Konami of Europe, stating
that the Yu-Gi-Oh license will be seeing a double pack
release for Game Boy Advance. The double pack includes Yu-Gi-Oh!
The Sacred Cards, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction.
Though the double pack is a classic "double dip" for the GBA,
it does include three limited official trading cards, making
it a must-buy for collectors and card-battlers alike.

Microsoft, publisher of Bizarre Creations' Project Gotham

Sega Confirms Hard Drive-Only Xbox 360 Game
According to new European Xbox 360 box art made available to
retailers, and confirmed by press materials, publisher Sega
has confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of Sports
Interactive’s Football Manager 2006 (aka Worldwide Soccer
Manager 2006) will be the first commercially available Xbox
360 title to require a hard drive in order to run.

Capcom launches mobile phone version of its creature-filled
role-playing game; Monster Hunter 2 for PS2 goes gold.
In Japan, Capcom has begun distribution of Monster Hunter i
for 3G's FOMA mobile phone series 900i and 902i. The
strictly single-player game doesn't feature a multiplayer
mode, but it still features 3D graphics.

Drill Dozer Screws Gamers
Screw Breaker – or Drill Dozer, as it's been renamed here,
for what seem like reasonable reasons – is what Game Freak
has come up with on this free period. It's a side-scrolling
action-adventure platformer that clearly was made by, well,
game freaks: by people who love classic Nintendo games for
exactly what they are. For comparison, you might think of
Treasure except more... Nintendo-ey. So I guess it's kind of
like an Intelligent Systems game.

collectable gaming industry with HeroClix, MechWarrior: Age
of Destruction, and Pirates of the Spanish Main, today
announced their full 2006 release schedule for the
MechWarrior: Age of Destruction Collectable Miniatures Game
(CMG)!
"We're extremely excited about the upcoming schedule for
MechWarrior,"
said Jordan Weisman, CEO of WizKids. "These are some of the
best sets we've created, from the variety of units to the
hot new 'Mechs in every one." 2006's first release,
MechWarrior: Domination, hit streets in January 2006. The
next release, MechWarrior: Vanguard, is due to release in
June 2006.
Later this year, players will take part in a massive
invasion of the Inner Sphere by an old foe: a fan-favorite
faction returns with a vengeance in MechWarrior: Wolf
Strike, due in October of 2006. Stylized 'Mechs are piloted
by some of the most deadly warriors ever born, and the
Sphere will never be the same.
Following Wolf Strike is MechWarrior: Outlaws, where the
toughest guns in MechWarrior meet - and are available to the
highest bidder! Outlaws in their own land, these special
gunslingers can fight for any faction.
MechWarrior: Outlaws is scheduled to hit stores in January
of 2007.

HeroClix 2006 Release Schedule Announced!
February 09, 2006 (SEATTLE) - WizKids Inc., the leader in
the collectable gaming industry with HeroClix, MechWarrior:
Age of Destruction, and Pirates of the Spanish Main, today
announced their full 2006 release schedule for the HeroClix
Collectable Miniatures Game (CMG)!
"There's some awesome stuff coming down the pipe for
HeroClix," said Jordan Weisman, CEO of WizKids. "Players
will be amazed at the selection of characters and the
increase in quality of these sets." 2006's first release, DC
HeroClix: Collateral Damage, is due to hit stores February
15th, 2006.
DC HeroClix fans will have many things to celebrate in 2006,
including the Spectre convention-exclusive figure, the most
massive HeroClix figure ever made, and the DC HeroClix
Giants Collector's Set available in March. The DC HeroClix
Green Lantern Corps Collector's Set is due to arrive in
September, and includes a variety of non-human members of
the illustrious Corps.
Fans will also get a booster release in June: Marvel
HeroClix: Sinister, a set where the villains take center
stage. Releasing at the same time is the Marvel HeroClix
Danger Room Game, a stand-alone, diorama-format HeroClix
game with updated rules and a variety of X-Men to bring new
players into the HeroClix world. Another Marvel HeroClix
release will debut in October of 2006.
June 30th marks the 2006 set retirement date. Sets retired
from tournament play include DC HeroClix: Cosmic Justice,
Marvel HeroClix:
Universe, Marvel HeroClix: Critical Mass, and bystander
tokens included in the DC and Marvel Map Packs.
Indy HeroClix players will get their first new set in almost
a year with the release of the Image HeroClix: Invincible
Collector's Set in August of 2006 - a set theme chosen by
HeroClix fans.
