Konami Ships Yu-Gi-Oh! Double Pack 2
Konami announced today that it has shipped Yu-Gi-Oh! Double
Pack 2 to retail stores. Not only does it feature two titles
in the franchise, Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler and Yu-Gi-Oh!
Dungeon Dice Monsters, but it also includes three exclusive
trading cards.

September has been deemed "Jessica Simpson" month on Xbox
Live, where the Dalla bred pop star has been chosen "Artist
of the Month."
What this all means is that Xbox Live members can download a

Sony May Introduce PlayStation Phone
While Nintendo's DS continues to sell like hotcakes with its
gaming focus, Sony has clearly taken a more
multifunctional/multimedia approach with its portable. The
PSP can already play movies, music, display photos, and surf
the Internet (all in addition to games of course), and at
some point in the near future users may be able to add phone
calls to the list of functions.
Although no official announcement has been made yet, it's
clear that Sony has plans to leverage its massive
PlayStation brand equity among gamers looking at the phone
market.

New Pokemon gets exclusive DS Lite
Japanese Diamond and Pearl launch to be accompanied by
limited edition version of Nintendo's portable.
The latest installments of Nintendo's Pokemon franchise,
Diamond and Pearl, will arrive on Japanese shelves alongside
their own limited edition of the DS Lite hardware, according
to a report on Impress Watch. Releasing with the games on
September 28, the Pokemon Center Original Nintendo DS Lite
Dialga/Palkia Edition will be sold by the Nintendo
subsidiary Pokemon Company.

A Hit in its 39th Year
SEATTLE, WA (September 6, 2006)‹ Gen Con Indy just wrapped
up its 39th year with much fanfare and excitement. Gaming
enthusiasts and exhibitors alike converged on Indianapolis
to make this year¹s Gen Con Indy one of the most successful
to date. In all Gen Con Indy was a hit with many new product
introductions, a sold out exhibition hall with 250+
exhibitors, thousands attending the new Anime Alley, and
round the clock gaming with over 5,500 events.
³This years¹ show was a lot of fun, full of enthusiasm and a
pleasure to take part in,² said Peter D. Adkison, CEO of Gen
Con LLC. ³Attendance numbers were up slightly with a
significant increase in 4-day badge sales.
Our overall turnstile attendance was approximately 85,000,
an increase of about 3% over last year."
Future Shows
Gen Con So Cal will take place November 16 19, 2006 at the
Anaheim Convention Center. A four-day badge is $55 with
pre-registration, or $65 on site. A one-day badge is $30
with pre-registration, or $35 on site. Badge
pre-registration runs through October 13, 2006, noon PST.
Children 8 and under are free with an accompanying adult.
