Name: Alonso
de Orozco
Set: PBC
Card #: 67
Rarity: Rare
Type: Ship
Cost: 11 Points
Masts: 1
Cannons 2S
Cargo: 2
Movement: 1S + 1S
Faction: Spanish
Ability: “Galley. After this ship
resolves a shoot action, she may move as a free
action.”
Flavor Text: “The crew of El Alonso
de Orozco must swear loyalty to the Knights of Malta
over Spain.”
Hmm…so instead of Move and then Shoot
as with a captain, this one gets Shoot and then Move
for free. The official ruling is that you can’t
have both the Captain and the Ship’s ability used on
the same turn (which would theorhetically cause an
infinite loop). SO basically, even though it’s
worded differently, you get a 1 master with a
Captain. And I don’t like to pay more than 5 points
for a 1 master, and 11 is pushing it big time.

SOMEONE wanted this little guy a
whole lot. Considering there’s only two other sold
items going above the average, this is just an
anomaly. Why anyone would pay more than Three bucks
for any one master is beyond me.
My Ratings:
Playability 2.5 of 5
Collectability 3 of 5
Next Week: More Barbary Coast – next
time it’ll be Americans. Avast me hearties!
