Pirates of Davy
Jones’ Curse - #044 Jack Hawkins
Name: Jack Hawkins
Set: PODJC
Card #: 044
Rarity: Rare
Type: Crew
Cost: 9 Points
Faction: Pirates
Link: Harbinger
Ability: This ship may move and shoot
using the same move action. After this ship resolves
a shoot action, she may move as a free action.
Flavor Text: With Hawkins having the
riches of a nobleman, many thought he would retire.
But he had one last and very personal mission: to
destroy the only man to have beaten him—Blackheart.
So Jack is a Pirate again (you’ll
recall in SM and CC he was a Pirate before he turned
to a Barbary Corsair in BC). This is the most
expensive version of Jack, the SM was only 4 points,
CC only 6 and BC only 5), and while he repeats the
D6 Same action twice, this one has the horribly
words shot and move “reverse captain” plus a link to
Harbinger. At 9 points there is no way in heck I’d
ever use this crew, even on Harbinger. He’s a
terrible waste of points.

Pirates of Davy
Jones’ Curse - #045A Blackheart
Name: Blackheart
Set: PODJC
Card #: 045A
Rarity: Common
Type: Crew
Cost: 6 Points
Faction: Pirates
Ability: Black Mark. After this ship
resolves a shoot action, she may move as a free
action.
Flavor Text: Some say that Blackheart
has already sold his soul to the demons of the sea.
Others say that he fights them like he has fought
everyone else: to his death or theirs.
All I have to say is that if you have
the original Blackheart, use him instead. This guy
stinks. A reverse Captain ability for 3 points more
than the normal captain ability. Oh and if you
really want you can use his Black Mark make him cost
another point and throw him on a Cursed ship. Joy.

Next time – Pirate week concludes
with a nifty colored ship.
