Pirates of the
South China Seas – Horacio Linares #70A
Name: Horacio Linares
Set: POSCS
Card #s: 70A
Rarity: Common
Type: Crew
Cost: 2 Points
Faction: Spanish
Ability –
Jade Rebellion crew may use their
abilities on this ship.
Flavor Text -
Discovered sleeping in the hull of a
Spanish merchant ship, Horacio was granted a choice:
death or servitude. He has since worked for Spain as
a lesson to the rebellious Filipino factions.
2 Points and I can use Jade Rebellion
crew on this ship? Sweet. Bring on the bad guys.
I suppose it’s a useful ability in case there’s
something the JR crew has that the Spanish don’t. I
can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but
I suppose there might be something. He shares a
card with the False Treasure Event (which reminds
me, time for my patented Events and Unique Treasure
reviews)

Pirates of
the South China Seas -
Padre
Francisco #71B
Name: Padre Francisco
Set: POSCS
Card #s: 71B
Rarity: Common
Type: Crew
Cost: 3 Points
Faction: Spanish
Ability –
This crew takes up no cargo space
when revealed. When revealed, put a crew with point
cost 2 or less from outside of the game onto this
ship.
Flavor
Text -
Sent to convert the Filipinos,
Padre Francisco discovered that although it is
his job to save souls, others would rather buy
and sell them. It is this conflict that the good
padre has not yet resolved in his heart
I don’t care
that you’re losing a point on the exchange here,
well, not really an exchange now is it, since
Padre Francisco is still in the game. What you
could do is use his ability, then sacrifice him
to your Spanish Sac-Captain. Oh wait…do the
Spanish have a Sac-Captain? Nope, they sure
don’t.
