Today's Crewfer Two-fer focuses on a pair of Americans from the new South China Seas set. First up, we have Matthew Perry (no, not the guy from friends). Perry is the lastest in a line of "bonus points" characters. He's free, and gives you an extra 5 points on top of the game's build total. So what's the catch? He's a Limit/Ransom character, so you can't play any other Ransoms if you pick him, and he can't be removed from his ship except through force - sinking the ship, or capturing him for a 5 gold bonus. Not too bad a restriction if you pick the right ship to play him on.

Second, we get the mysterious Gus Schultz, who can steal one random treasure from a ship he's touching for 4 points. I personally feel those points are going to be better spent on a Captain and an Oarsman as needed, since you'll essentially have to play Gus on a good ramming ship that also has sufficient cargo space to hold the stolen treasure. However if you play a ramming game, or if you know you're playing a great unique treasure and don't want your opponent to take it, Gus could come in handy."
