it's a ship that needs to stay out of harm's way.
This ship is for getting gold and/or boarding small
enemy gold ships. She'll need a Helmsman either way,
and that leaves only 2 cargo spaces free for the
gold you're hoping to get. Three masts makes you
fairly survivable if you get jumped by a small
fighter, and if you absolutely must shoot those
unreliable cannons, you've got a decent chance of
landing a hit or two. If you shoot your own masts
off, all is not lost - the Galley keyword gives you
a built-in Oarsman.
Still, what do you expect for only seven points, the
Baochuan? This is an average galley for a
below-average price.
