Here she is! The ship that Jack Sp - I'm sorry,
Captain Jack Sparrow would almost die for. There are
three Black Pearls in PotC - the cursed one, the
battle-damaged one that we reviewed a few weeks ago,
and this one. This is the best of the bunch.
Her cannons are good; her ability is a new one, and
it's very good. The disappointments are that she
isn't linked to Jack Sparrow, and she isn't the
fastest thing on the sea. Adding a Captain would
make her pretty quick as well as quite dangerous,
but you'd also have to add Cotton or some other
Helmsman crew if you wanted to catch HMS
Interceptor. She shares HMS Endeavour's weakness
against ships that ignore L cannons.
If you put a Captain on her, you've spent 20 points
on a very fast, very effective four-masted gunship.
If she takes a hit from a ship that kills a crew,
you've lost both your cannon bonus and your speed.
That makes her somewhat vulnerable. Aside from that,
she's a fine fighting ship.
