Ability: Once at the beginning of each of your
turns, roll a d6. On a result of 6, any ship in your
fleet can be given two actions that turn.
Elizabeth is an "admiral" crew, who gives an extra
action to any ship in her fleet. She's no different
than most other admirals, like Commodore Edward
Preble (USA) or Amiral Gaston de St. Croix (France).
But if you're playing Pirates, you'd be better off
with Jean Lafitte; he has the same ability for one
point less.
Giving a ship an extra move is nice, in theory. But
if you can't predict when it will happen, and if
it's only a 1 in 6 chance, it usually isn't very
helpful. I don't consider crew like these to be a
good value, not compared to some crew you could
spend six points on, like the OE Calico Cat (2nd
action for her own ship on a 5-6, plus a
world-hater). If you really want to give Captain
Swann a try, I'd put her on a ship with a reroll
crew like the SCS Calico Cat, to give her a second
chance at rolling a 6 each turn.
I liked Elizabeth in the movies, but this card just
doesn't do it for me.
