This ship has always appealed to me, which is odd,
because I usually go for powerful fighters and
inexpensive gold ships. What I like about the Golden
Peacock is a neglected aspect of Pirates: her
appearance. The decorated purple hull and yellow
sails are a pleasant change from the blacks, browns,
and whites of most other factions. Is this ship just
a pretty face?
Speed and cargo are both good, and her price is
reasonable. She makes a fine gold ship; this is
probably her best role. Her third mast makes her a
bit harder to sink than the usual 2-masted gold
runner. Three masts also makes her a decent boarder,
as long as she doesn't pick on fighting ships.
Fighting is not on her menu. She needs no crew,
except maybe John Ward to enhance her boarding. Send
her wherever the gold is, keep her moving, and
she'll help make you rich.
