Now this ship is just plain awful. One cargo means
no gold running; two wretched cannons means no
fighting; one mast means no boarding. So what the
heck do you do with this thing? It has one role and
only one role:
to zoom around the battlefield at triple-S speed and
spread Fear. Fear is good, when it works, which is
1/3 of the time. That means you just spent 11 points
on a ship that won't do anything, two turns out of
three.
If I were going to use this ship, I'd put a
Shipwright and an Oarsman on her, to keep her moving
as much as possible. Alternately, I could put Jerky
Johnson on her, to speed up Champ or some other sea
monster; the Fear and the monster would make an
interesting team. But as a general rule, 11 points
for one very limited role is no way for an admiral
to win a battle.
