It's not a surprise when England gets a decent fighting ship. But it's always a pleasure to see one, and I'm looking at one right now.

For only 12 points, the Cygnet (that means a baby swan) can be a good secondary fighter. Speed is okay, cannons are pretty good, and her special ability is one of those obnoxious ones that opponents tend to forget about, until you grin and tell them they rolled a 6 and still missed. Her cargo is kind of light, so I'd use a Helmsman and a combo crew that includes the Captain ability. I wish she had some L cannons, too, but that's not a fatal flaw. Also, I like the all-white appearance; it makes her stand out from the usual English fleets of brown and black.

The Cygnet has what it takes to make her mark in the Royal Navy. She's not the best fighter they have, but she certainly isn't the worst. If I owned her, I would definitely take her out on a cruise or two, and see what she could do.
