This little ship has some potential for one-way gold running. That means a ship is great on the way out, but not so great on the way home. The Jeux's ability gives her S+L when she carries no treasure and no crew, so she'll burn through the waves on the way to a wild island, and then creep home at her base speed. You could add a Helmsman for a consistent

S+L, but you lose both her ability and a cargo space. Bad move.

If you have any kind of collection of French ships, you probably own Le Pique and L'Intrepide, both of which give much better value than the Jeux and cost the same, and Le Cour de Leon, which gives similar value for only 2 points. If you don't own those and you need a cheap French gold ship, the Jeux will do okay for you.
