I'm
making this review short, and I'm dedicating it to
Cadet-Captain Mike. Mike was, in my opinion, the
best reviewer, and yet still people (including
myself) criticized his reviews and possibly even
pushed him off Pojo for good. So these upcoming
reviews are in Mike's honor. I'm going to try to
rate this ship similar to how Mike would have rated
her.
Weasel
The Weasel is possibly the slowest, most useless one
master I have ever seen. She has sub par cannons, a
measly 4S. Good luck hitting with 5s and 6s. Her
ability and cargo go well together, considering the
Weasel is supposedly a treasure runner. 3 cargo and
an ability that lets you load a treasure from an
enemy home island are both adequate stats, but how
are you supposed to do this when Weasel moves a S?
So basically, you can attempt to put a helmsman on
her, but then you'll have a 10 point one master that
moves S+S and has 2 cargo. For the exact same price,
you could have Darkhawk II with 8 cargo. I can't see
any use for this piece of garbage.
She gets an atrocious 1/5.

BAILEY
Weasel (Pirate, 8 points)
Masts: 1
Cargo: 3
Move:
S
Cannon: S4
Ability: This ship may dock at an enemy island
and load one treasure. If able, she must leave
on your next turn.
This ship
is about as bad as they get. It has a bad
cannon, horrible move, useless ability, and a
fairly decent cargo. The only way i could see to
use this ship is to give it a helmsman and
pretend to attack the home island. But then it's
ten points. Sure, you could try it without the
crew, but even if you succeeded in getting to
the home island, you wouldn't make it back;
you'd just be hunted down again.
What can I
say? This ship goes in a tier with Maman
Brigitte and Le Solitaire. I can find no
possible way to use this ship effectively; it's
rating is the lowest of the low. For one day I'm
using CC-Mikes structure for this ship, just to
show how bad it is.

Hey
everyone, we're beginning RotF "Slowest of the Slow"
week. This might take a while, because there are a
lot of slow ships. But first, we start off with the
Weasel.
Weasel, 8 points, Pirate
Masts: 1
Cargo: 3
Speed: S
Cannon: 4S
Ability: This ship can dock at an enemy home island
and load one treasure. If able, she must leave on
your next turn.
Flavor Text: Captain Watson takes great pride in the
fact that his ship can "weasel" in and out of port
without anyone noticing.
It seems that the slow ships always have the more
ironic flavor text.
Why? I don't know, they just do. See my review on
HMS Stingray.
Anyway, onto the ship.
The first question you ask is, why? Why do they give
ships HI raiding abilities when they can't even
FLIPPING RAID A HOME ISLAND IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
The Weasel is probably one of the worst ships in the
game, if not one of the worst in this set. It can't
treasure run out of a wet paper bag; it can't shoot
for its life. At least it has 3 cargo. Although,
don't use this ship. Please, don't.
If you're playing a fun game with this ship, at
least the opponent might joke around and let you get
a treasure. Then you might feel kind of good, until
he comes up with his La Repulsa and shoots it to
kingdom come.
This ship is an embarrassment to HI raiders
everywhere.
You know, HI raiders have always gotten the shaft,
and I can literally count with my hands how many
playable HI raiders there are. This is pathetic.
The Weasel gets a generous 1/5.
