Guns : 2S, 2S, 2S

Ability: Schooner. This ship can dock at an enemy
home island and take as much treasure as she can
carry. If able, she must leave on your next turn.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the
ability to rob an enemy home island is useless
without high speed. Why WK keeps making ships like
this one is something I just do not understand. And
then they have the nerve to charge 15 points for it?
Of course, you can always add a Helmsman, which
gives just enough speed to maybe pull off a
home-robbery caper, if you're happy with taking just
3 coins. A Captain would let you take advantage of
those 2-rank cannons her and there, but now you can
steal only 2 coins, and your sailaway cost is up to
20 points. The numbers just don't add up. Or,
rather, they add up too high.
If the Belladonna were only 10-11 points, she'd be
an average or slightly above-average value. 15
points is way more than she's worth, though,
especially since she'll get to use her ability only
once in a game, at most. It might be fun to use this
ship once, but I can't recommend her as a regular
part of anyone's fleet.

Flavor Text:With the seas so dangerously infested
with the Cursed, the crew of the Belladonna have
taken to stealing gold from docked ships, where it's
safer.

Okay, so did anyone else notice the design change on
the schooners?
Their masts don't interlap anymore, so you have
clear firing lanes on both sides. Of course, this
means you lose the ramming aspect. But I digress.
Now onto the ship. Why? Just why? Why do we
constantly get ships that are meant for fighting
with home island raiding abilities?! Sure, you may
be able to steal a whole bunch of treasure, and
fight off any incoming enemies. But let's compare,
shall we, with the SCS Virtuous Wind. The Virtuous
Wind can only steal one treasure, costs 14 points,
but it has 5 cargo, all of its cannons are 2L, AND
it has the speed of
S+L to pull off a home island raid.
This is like the Vikings all over again.
I give this ship a generous 2/5.
