The French version of the Lizard is roughly the same as the Spanish, but with a negative ability instead of a nearly useless one, and a much lower price tag. That puts her in the "good little gold ship" category.

For only four points, she's sure to pay for herself in one cruise, maybe two. For one more point, you could get L'Intrepide or Le Pique, but if you don't have one more point, or if you don't own those ships, the Lezard will serve you well indeed.
