Masts: 3
Cargo: 3
Moves: L
Guns : 2L,3L,3S
Hit %: 167 (S), 117 (L)
Ability: Scorpion. This ship ignores the first hit
she takes each turn as long as she has all of her
masts.
Too many of the new scorpion ships seem to be good
at using their blades, and not much else. This one
can also serve as a fighter, with good cannons and a
useful ability, plus room for crew. Any ship that
can play two roles well is a good ship in my book.
Give her a Captain and a Helmsman and turn her
loose! If you want a third crew, I'd suggest a
Shipwright to keep her masts up and her ability in
play, or a Musketeer to make her even more
dangerous. If you have the points, you could use the
DJC Sammy the Skull instead of the Captain, to gain
a boarding bonus as well as the move/shoot.
Regardless, you'll want to be aggressive with her,
but not foolhardy - she can't take on an intact
five-masted gunship all by herself, for instance.
But she can shred gold ships and smaller fighters.
This is one of the best ships the Cursed have gotten
so far. My only complaint is her price, which is
more than fair, but high enough to limit the other
ships you can afford in low-point games.
