"Salte el Tiburon" is Spanish for "jump the shark,"
and I have to wonder what WK was trying to tell us
with a name like that. The ship itself is a four-masted
schooner of striking appearance and questionable
usefulness.
How a ship as graceful-looking as this can get a
speed of only S puzzles me, but such dead slowness
renders any ship just about useless. Her cargo is
small for a ship her size, and when you add the
Helmsman that she absolutely has to have, only two
spaces are left. I suppose she's meant to fill up
with fighting combo crew from various nations; one
possible set would be the Helmsman, Thomas Gunn the
Younger (Captain and crew kill), and the OE Crimson
Angel (SAT and +1 vs non-Pirates). That would make
her dangerous, but I'm sure the Spanish can do
better for 24 total points. (Hint: the OE La
Resolucion, Duque Alfonzo de Castilla, Helmsman, and
Capital Alarico Castro has the same abilities, is a
bit faster, has better cannons, and costs one point
less.)
With low speed and small cargo, Salte el Tiburon
isn't what I'd call a great ship, or even a good
ship. Her point cost is a bit more than what she's
worth. There isn't much else to say.
