Cadet-Captain Mike
Name: HMS Adventure (England)
Card: PC #007 (Rare)
Points: 7
Masts: 1
Cargo: 3
Moves: L
Guns : 3S
Hit %: 50 (S), 0 (L)
Ability: Crew of any nationality can use their
abilities on this ship.
Warning: this is going to be a short review.
What a lackluster ship! Her ability is useless
because you'd never put any crew on her, except
maybe a Helmsman. All she's good for is gold, and
England has better gold ships for fewer points.
She's a Rare, so if you get her, you'll be better
off trading her for something else, like HMS
Trepassey (same cargo, blazing speed, and the same
point cost). If this is what the English call an
"adventure," they must lead very dull lives.
I'm kind of surprised to see a ship with this
ability in the Caribbean set since there were only
two nations in it, but WizKids showed some love for
the long-time players with this ship.
She's got three cargo, which is good for her size.
She's got a single mast with a 3S, good for making a
menace for potential boarders, but if they're close
enough to board, this ship's already in trouble.
She can't run very fast though with her base move of
L.
She can, of course, have crew of any nationality
aboard, but her point value is just 7. You'll likely
get either a named crew, which may or may not be
useful for a ship this size, or a few generic crew
which the British already have.
