The Madness has all the makings of
a good secondary fighter. She has a mix of S and L
cannons, an ability that enhances her gunnery, and
enough room for some fighting crew. Get a Captain
and Helmsman on board, and away you go, yo ho ho!
But twelve points seems like a
lot. Compare her to the Rattlesnake, a USA ship with
the same masts, cannons, and speed. The American has
a negative ability, but she has 5 cargo, and she
costs only 5 points. I guess the Americans are no
longer the most overpriced faction.
But the Madness still looks like a
secondary fighter. If you need an escort for a gold
ship, or something to give your big gunship an
assist, this two-masted schooner might be what you
need.
