Cadet-Captain Mike Name: Tabatha McWarren (Cursed)
Card: DJ #028 (Common)
Points: 3
Ability: Crew of any nationality may use their abilities on this ship.

Even after four releases, the Cursed are still low on useful crew. I could give a lengthy list of the crew types that most other factions get and the Cursed don't. But I'll make it short: use a crew like Tabatha (or the OE Cavendish, with the same ability), and you can use any of them.

Three points is the going rate for this ability, so the cost is fair.
You'll normally want her on a big ship that can use multiple crew.
Exactly how you use her is up to you; there are way too many possibilities to even scratch the surface in a quick review. But if your tactics require a crew that the Cursed don't have, and you can spend the three points on Tabatha, your problems are solved.

Gold crew rating: 1.7 / 5
Gun crew rating: 3.5 / 5
Boarding rating: 3.1 / 5
Value for points: 3.0 / 5

Name: Tabitha McWarren (Cursed)
Card: FS #131 (Super Rare)
Points: 6
Ability: Loyal:Cursed. Give this ship a move action but do not move her.
Instead, roll a d6. On a result of 5 or 6, move an enemy ship L in any direction.

The ability to possess another ship for a turn can be way too much fun, even if it's just in a limited way. You can ram one enemy ship into another, throw it onto a Reef, pull it into cannon range, push it away from a treasure island it was about to explore, or just bump it away from your own gold ships.

The drawbacks to this are that (a) it costs one of your ships an action, and (b) it only works one time out of three. If I was going to use McWarren, I'd put her on the Fiddler's Green, whose reroll ability could let me move enemy ships about half the time. The Green would still have three cargo free and S+S speed, so she'd be a decent gold ship, with Tabitha along for the ride.

Alternately, I could put her on the Nightmare, a ship that's not going anywhere in a hurry anyway, so losing a few moves won't be the death of you. It's just a question of whether the point cost of ship and crew are worth it to you. I wouldn't do it all the time, just often enough to keep the enemy on his toes. It would definitely be worth a try at least once.

Gold crew rating: 1.3 / 5
Gun crew rating: 3.0 / 5
Boarding rating: 3.2 / 5
Value for points: 2.5 / 5
