Cargo-of-6 Week begins with the Libellule
("Butterfly"), an apt name for a fair but fragile
vessel. I don't like the colors much, but her beauty
is way more than skin deep.
A move of S+L was almost common in the first few
Pirates releases; now it almost deserves to be
called super-rare. That high speed, plus her huge
cargo and her single-digit price tag, makes the
Libellule a gold ship with few equals. The
Windcatcher ability only enhances this, since it
lets her gain almost an L's worth of movement when
she turns 180 degrees, something gold ships do every
time they load or unload. Her other ability is her
weakness, so protect this butterfly well.
She needs no crew to do her job. For one point,
you could speed her cruises up even more with an
Explorer and still have plenty of room for gold. But
that one point might be better spent on the Divers
event, so you can salvage her treasure if she sinks.
Half of six treasure coins would definitely be worth
keeping out of the enemy's hands.
Last week's ships were a mediocre lot, but there
are still some good ships that we haven't reviewed
yet. The Libellule is certainly one of them. She
takes her place alongside the Banshee's Cry, La
Monarca, and fellow Frenchman Le Bon Marin as one of
the best gold ships in the game.
