Ability: This ship may dock at an enemy home island
and load one treasure. If able, she must leave on
your next turn.
The Shadow has mediocre cannons and is too slow to
use her ability effectively. As such, she set the
standard for most of the home-island robbers that
followed after her. That's a shame.
Six cargo is tempting, though. Give her a Helmsman
and send her to the wild islands. Her four cannons
won't be too useful, but four masts means she can
take a pounding and still get home with the goodies.
If, through incompetence, the enemy gives you a shot
at his home island, then go for it. Just the
possibility that you could try it will keep the
enemy off balance, and your other ships will
probably be left in peace.
The Shadow is far from the best ship you'll find.
But those deep cargo holds can come in handy if
you're playing for gold. She certainly deserves a
chance to prove herself, maybe two chances.
