I couldn't find out who "the coward of Calvados"
was, or what he did that was so cowardly, but it's
an odd name for a ship. Especially a ship with such
good fighting potential.
Her ability is possibly the best defensive talent in
the game; with skillful maneuvering and a little
luck, it can make her unhittable. Her cannons can
bang away without fear of taking return fire. I'd
crew her with Captain and Helmsman, of course, and
also a Musketeer for a third S-range cannon, to
maximize the havoc she can cause. A ship like this
can tie an enemy in knots, and if he uses a gunship
with all S cannons (like USS Enterprise, Grand Path,
or the mighty Zeus), there's little he can do to
hurt your little 2-master as you chip away at him.
Better yet, a ship like this can be such a
distraction that your other ships can do anything
they please, from cleaning out the wild islands to
robbing the enemy's home island, without
interference. That's a lot of fun from one 11-point
ship.
I like this ship. Her price is fair, her cannons
adequate, and her ability... let's just say I like
it a lot. Get her in close to the foe and keep her
there; don't be a coward, and she'll probably do
great things for you.
