Ability: After looking at treasure on a wild island,
you may trade any one treasure from that island for
a random treasure on any other wild island. This
ship must load the traded treasure.
"The Prophet" is a gold ship. She's one of four
Spanish ships with the wild-island treasure-swap
ability, which can be a very good one. She isn't the
best gold ship of the four (El San Jose holds that
distinction), but she's the best equipped to shoot
her way out of trouble if the enemy gets too close.
She ought to have a Helmsman for any role. You could
also station a Captain on her and use her as a
dual-purpose ship, fighting when the enemy is near
and grabbing a bit of gold at other times. Her
ability will let her be profitable even if she has
only two cargo spaces free.
You can do better if a fighter is all you want, or
if you just want gold. But decent cannons,
reasonable cargo, and her ability combine to make
her a potential double threat.
It's a shame El Profeta isn't a little bit faster;
her scores would go up a lot. As it is, she's kind
of average across the board. But while you could do
better, you could also do worse. That's not much of
a compliment, but at least it's not an insult.
