The Adventure, also known as the Adventure Galley,
was Captain Kidd's ship in real life. This version
seems to be a worthy namesake.
For a single-digit price tag, you get a ship that
can do well in any role... once you give her a
Helmsman. As soon as her low speed has been dealt
with, you can choose how you want to use her. Her
deep cargo holds make her a good gold ship, her guns
are adequate to make her a secondary fighter, and
her ability makes her an above-average boarder. I'd
add a Captain to her crew and send her out as an
opportunist -- she can shoot, loot, or ram and board
as the situation warrants. She has room to add more
crew if you want to spend that much; I'd go with a
reroll crew to help with either the cannons or the
boarding roll.
As I've said before, versatility is something I
prize in a Pirates ship (only speed is better). The
Adventure has the stats to be flexible and serve
well in any role you can imagine. That, and her low
price, make her a good value.
