takes each turn as long as it has all of its
segments.
Brachyura is one of the three giant crabs that
came out in the Ocean's Edge release. It may be the
best one of the bunch.
A Titan is a living ship that can crawl on
islands and can't repair damage. This one has all
L-range claws (cannons), which is very important for
creatures of this size - their arm span is so great
that the Pirate crab, Raninoidea, has a hard time
getting all four of its S-range claws in range of
the same target. Speed is adequate, and the ability
is a useful one; the price is high, but not
horrible. Cargo could be bigger, but because this
brute is meant for nothing but fighting, all you
need is a Captain and either a Helmsman or some
other generic fighting crew.
There was also a super-rare version of Brachyura
(#134) that was identical except it sparkled. Maybe
it was a vampire titan?
Compared to El Toro, Brachyura costs more, but is
faster and has a better ability. Compared to
Raninoidea, this crab is cheaper and has better
cannons, but is a bit slower, has less cargo, and
its ability isn't as good. Most ships with four 3L
cannons cost a lot less, as little as 10 points for
the HMS Phoenix, so if you use Brachyura, you'll
have to take full advantage of all her abilities, or
you won't get your points' worth. That means heavy
on the aggression, and light on getting hit in
return. Our gaming group still hasn't found a way to
use titans effectively; their size makes them fire
magnets, and they die too quickly to earn their
keep.
