This ship would be considered the second appearance of the American faction before their Revolutions release. This ship was part of the WizKids convention released Pirates of the Crimson Coast mega-pack. That pack also includes the Destiny and a helmsman. This is an interesting ship to say the least. Introduced while there was at the time three factions to work with, this ship was created to go against those who played mostly with the English faction. Now of days with a larger faction pool to play from, this ship still can find it’s place in any game.

First and for most, this ship is one of the cheaper 4 mast ship for the American faction (the cheapest going to the USS Kentucky for 11 points). It’s S+L speed grants it the ability to charge into battle and keeps it on par with some of it’s factions fast schooners. It’s cannon has versatility in having two L ranges and two S ranges to deal with those ships that have those abilities not to be hit by one of those ranges. It’s cannon ranking give you a 50/50 chance to hit, but you could use one of the American factions two world haters to alleviate that problem.

As a treasure ship for the American team, it has a fair cargo hold for it’s mast type and it’s speed can get you to some islands to bring home some gold. Using a captain (whether named or generic) is a must and the helmsman could be optional (though having a ship that goes S+L+S does look very promising). In conclusion, this is a very versatile ship that can find it’s way into any game when played right.

Rating: 4/5
