Crew-fer Two-fer:
Name: William Dampier (England)
Card: SC #055 (Rare)
Points: 5
Link : HMS Malton
Ability: Pirate crew may use their abilities on this
ship. Once per turn before you give this ship an
action, roll a d6. On a 5 or 6, this ship may be
given the same action twice.
William Dampier combines two useful abilities into
one. He doesn't save you any points, just a cargo
space. The SAT ability is always a useful thing to
have, while the ability to use Pirate crew may or
may not help an English admiral. England has a good
assortment of fighting crew, but there are a few
holes (like a stand-alone world-hater), and their
gold crew are few and far between. As such, he might
be more of a help to an English gold ship than a
fighter. Too bad there aren't many English gold
ships. On the right ship, and paired with the right
Pirate crew, he could be very effective.

Name: Crimson Angel (Pirates)
Card: OE #039 (Rare)
Points: 5
Link : Deliverance
Ability: Once per turn before you give this ship an
action, roll a d6.
On a 5 or 6, this ship may be given the same action
twice. This ship gets +1 to her cannon rolls against
any non-Pirate ship.
This crew is one of my favorites. Not only does her
combination of abilities save you a cargo space, she
also saves you two points compared to the value of
her abilities purchased separately. That's a
long-winded way of saying "excellent value." Put her
on any Pirate fighting ship you please, preferably a
big one with a reroll ability. Both her abilities
will prove very, very useful there.
