Ability: This ship gets +1 to her cannon rolls
against Jade Rebellion ships.
We'll close out English Week with one of the few
5-masted gunships that haven't been reviewed yet.
HMS Lord Kettering is kind of a bland example of the
breed.
Her cannons are average, but the fact that she has
five of them helps even things out. They're a mix of
S and L range, which is always good.
Speed and cargo are average for a five-master, as is
her point cost. Her ability is pretty close to
useless, because Jade ships dont get used very
often. If you suspect that your enemy will be using
a Jade fleet, then you need this ship; her hit
percentages will jump to 333% and 200%, her Guship
rating to 4.5, and her value to 3.1.
But if your enemy doesn't include Jade ships in his
plans, this is just another big ship, with nothing
exciting about her. She's neither bad nor good
(compared to similar-sized ships), so if she's the
only fiver in your fleet, you won't suffer from
using her. If I had a choice, I'd pay the extra
point or two and get a really good ship instead.
