I said nice things about
yesterday's ship. I'd like to say nice things about
this ship, but I'd be telling a lie. And if I obeyed
the saying, "If you can't say something nice, say
nothing at all," then this review would already be
over.
The Sabre could be a good gold
ship, with decent cargo for a reasonable price,
except she's way too slow. She could also make her
way as a support fighter, with two good cannons, but
they're both S-range, which limits her options.
Her ability gives her an edge over other
2-masters if she rams and boards them, but that will
cost you two points and a cargo space for a
Helmsman. France can do better than that; I couldn't
even list all the gold ships that fly the Tricolor
and give more cargo and speed for fewer points, or
the French fighters that give more bang for the
buck.
This ship is exactly the same as a
Frozen North ship, La Belois, and is very similar to
an Ocean's Edge ship, La Moulin Rouge. I have to
ask, "Is this ship so amazing that France needed
three of them?" The truth is, France doesn't need
any of them.
