Rocket Boss's Deck Fixes
Dustox and Beautifly
March 3, 2009
Hey Rocket Boss! I was on Pojo and was reading your
deck fixes, and saw how great they were, so I
figured I would send you one and get some really
great help on my new deck! Thanks!
Pokemon x20:
Basic x11:
- Wurmple (Pt #103) x4
- Swablu (Pt #97) x3
- Darkrai (MD #3) x2
- Skuntank G (Pt #94) x2
Stage 1 x5:
- Altaria (Pt #18) x3
- Silcoon (Pt #63) x1
- Cascoon (Pt #44) x1
Stage 2 x4:
- Beautifly (Pt #21) x2
- Dustox (Pt #25) x2
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums x24:
Trainers x16:
- Rare Candy x4
- PlusPower x2
- Switch x1
- Warp Point x1
- Night Maintenance x1
- Energy Search x2
- Quick Ball x 2
- Dusk Ball x2
- Luxury Ball x1
Supporters x5:
- Roseanne's Research x1
- Bebe's Search x1
- Buck's Training x1
- Professor Rowan x1
- Looker's Investigation x1
Stadiums x3:

- Miasma Valley x1
Energy x16:
Special Energy x4:
- Call Energy x4
Basic Energy x12:
- Darkness Energy x4
- Grass Energy x8
Total: 60
The idea is to use Dustox and Beautifly to play off
of each other, and Altaria for extra status abuse.
Darkrai and Skuntank G are just extra techs to
exploit status conditions. Thanks for your help!

Hello all! It's Rocket Boss here to aid another
Pokeperson in the perilous prospect of
poke-deck production ;) What we have here is what
many of us realized could be a devastating combo,
Dustox and Beautifly. Bill here has added in some
other Pokemon to help get status inflicted on the
defending Pokemon, a wise decision. If this works
for you, stick with it, another idea you may want to
tinker with is using Wigglytuff and Xatu, both from
Great Encounters. Both of these will sit on your
bench, but it's fine, that's where they'll do the
best. Use Wigglytuff's Goodnight Melody power to
put both player's actives to sleep, and then use
Xatu's Psychic Shift to pull the sleep from
Wigglytuff and the Poison from Skuntank G and take
full advantage with you respective Bug. In favor of
this let's cut out the 3/3 Altaria and 2 others
later on to add a 2/2 Wigglytuff and 2/2 Xatu. With
the trainer section of the deck you could afford to
lose the 2 Energy Search to accommodate the Pokemon
previously added. Also let's cut the two Dusk Ball
in favor of another of both Bebe and Roseanne and
replace Prof. Rowan with Cynthia's Feelings simply
because Cynthia tends to be more help than Prof.
Rowan. The Stadiums are a little varied so I would
try to decide on just one of them, maybe Miasma
Valley just because the only way this could hurt you
is by hitting Darkrai or Wigglytuff, but they'll be
on the bench more often than not. The energy used
in this deck looks pretty good too, just to make
sure that Darkrai can pull off some sleep abuse of
its own, leaving us with:

Hopefully this will work out for you too Bill, Rocket Boss
has seen this kind of setup before and it has certainly been
beneficial to the usual, nothing compares to the despair of
double status conditions Mwahahaha! Keep the
ideas/fixes/reviews coming to
luvtank1287@yahoo.com, until then, I'm Blasting off
again!
