Muk Man on Pokemon Since I plan on going to worlds this year, I decided to chronicle my season. I hope that others may learn for my experience, and take the proper steps towards becoming a better pokemon player. I am also doing this so when I leave the game I will have something to reflect upon.
My Road To Worlds…
I Know it's been a while since I've checked
in so here is the rundown.
After releasing Super Stantler to the public,
there were a lot of doubters. A few people saw the potential
and played and won medals with it. I decided not to switch
decks because I wanted to win with it as well. Unfortunately
because my radio station decided to flip formats, i was now
flooded with work so instead of going to 2 additional
cities, i could only attend one. Colombia SC
with the small turnout, it would be a 4 round
Swiss with a cut to top 2. Game 1 vs. Metanite
I had the favorable start with a Stantler and
castaway in hand. he goes first and has no energy. I go
second, I use the castaway to grab celio’s so i could push
away turn 2. i then lock in a cursed stone and cessation
crystal. He top decks a windstorm and i never play another
single supporter for the rest of the game. .. 0-1 I go undefeated from there, but the round 1 loss kills my resistance and i finish 3rd.
Shortly after return, I start the job hunt
sending my application and resume out to everyone,
everywhere. I start to look at my options and realize that
this my seriously put a dent in my pokemon season, as my
income has been chopped in half, so i cant just throw money
into pokemon trips. So I have decided to step up on my
pokemon playing. I have to make every game count and stop
playing so lightly. I wasn't as competitive as others, but
now I must evolve or die.
I Practice everything, my shuffling skills
SUCK, so while I’m looking through my binder I’m shuffling
random 60 card decks that I’ve built. I am determined to go
to worlds, and because I don’t have endless funds, I will
have to win my trip. AND I WILL!!! So I am now Packing up
and moving while looking for a new job, and a new deck. I am
determined to evolve into a better pokemon player...starting
right now! My first test will be Prereleases this weekend. I
want to win both pre releases and booster drafts. Check back
on Tuesday, and see what happens. P.S. Here are my choices for the cities I will end up in...Memphis TN, Amarillo TX, Anchorage AK, and just got a call today from Richmond VA, and Columbia SC. of course nothing is etched in stone but until know for certain where I am going, I will be in Memphis TN.
Will Muk Man win? Where will he move to?? What will he do next??? Stay tuned for the next installment. Episode 7 “The Evolution of Muk Man”
