Muk Man on Pokemon Since I plan on going to worlds this year, I decided to chronicle my season. I hope that others may learn for my experience, and take the proper steps towards becoming a better pokemon player. I am also doing this so when I leave the game I will have something to reflect upon. My Road To Worlds… Episode 8 “Regionals Round 2” First Off…TODAY IS MY SON’S 6TH BIRTHDAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTIAN I LOVE YOU!!! I felt very good about playing Scizor, after the great showing I had the week before but this week was not the same. I could write a report about it, but that would be a waste of time. I went 2-4 at the Southeast regional. Getting beat within the first couple of minutes every single game. I had bad starts, bad draws and bad luck all day. But the day was not a complete bust. I found someone to split the cost of nationals with me. So all in all it was a fun day. So after my horrible day at regionals, I decided to take a poke-break….but now DP the video game is out. So I start Building a Team for possible future events. This game is awesome, if you don’t have it….GO BUY IT. Remember that you can get free wifi at certain McDonalds so there is no excuse for not enjoying the wifi capabilities in the game. This past weekend was the first round of prereleases for D&P. Now I know that the rule changes will be in effect for nationals. Something to note for the new set. 1.) The new pokemon seem to have lower HP than previous sets. In the past a stage 2, would have 120-150 HP. This set is from 90-120. (excluding Exs and Level X) 2.) The attack cost are higher and more energy expensive. The older sets again were usually one Specific energy, followed by two colorless. The games best attacks were 2-3 energy. In the new set a lot of attacks are 4-5 energy. Except for That MONKEY…which leads us to 3.) Infernape… I expect to see a lot of this guy. You cant ignore him. 90 damage for 2 energy is too strong for this set. It OHKOs most of the pokemon in this set before you apply weakness. After weakness it jumps to about 75%. Then add plus power and he ohkos all but 8 pokemon in the set. In addition to that. He has a level X that is something to be feared, and can abuse things like DRE, Scramble, Brinneys compassion, and all the other tools that EX’s cant. I expect to see a few Blaze/Delcatty/Infernape type decks. Also because of that, water decks will be used to counter it, and that will leave a place for Metanite in the metagame. Anyway I’m making my way to the Prerelease in Garner this weekend just to get those new sleeves. That’s so…cool. And I need help getting my National Dex, so if you are willing to help me out my Diamond Friend code is 0000-9956-0196 Stay tuned for the next installment. Episode 9 “Soft Reset ” ~Muk Man~ P.S. Shout outs too every one in DE, I met a great group up there. A day with no drama and FREE PIZZA For questions or comments, send an email to Treluv3@Excite.com AIM=Xx804IcemanxX WWW.Myspace.Com/ItsVA
