Topic is Pokemon t-shirt central at your local
mall, adding mens/youth shirts to their awesome
line-up. Their website hasn't updated with pix
yet; but, I can tell you about the two shirts I
picked up over the weekend: one is white with
Pikachu, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander
lined up under a Pokemon logo, "slim fit" in
adult and youth sizes, the other is black with
Pikachu emerging, battle ready, from a Poke Ball
(?!--I thought Pika didn't like being cooped up!
;), adult and youth sizes (both $18.00).
Toys 'R' Us has a 33% off sale on backpacks and lunch kits this week! Remember the Pokemon lunch kits I was seeing on E-Bay? Well, I managed to find a scant few at my local TRU. There were only six on the shelf and the selection was divided as follows: 3 Poke Ball "soft totes" (per tag; Jakks/Pentech product), 1 Pikachu tote, 1 Groudon-Rayquaza-Kyogre tote and 1 Deoxys tote. Here's a pic from Amazon of the Poke Ball: http://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-Pokeball-lunchbox/dp/B000TSQEF8/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-6354729-3311965?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1186401195&sr=8-1E-Bay had some scans of the others: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Pokemon-DEOXYS-Soft-Tote-LUNCH-BOX-Back-to-School_W0QQitemZ170136903862QQihZ007QQcategoryZ1524QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/POKEMON-SOFT-TOTE-LUNCH-BAG-green-NEW_W0QQitemZ280139591626QQihZ018QQcategoryZ57882QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrd Z1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Pokemon-GROUDON-KYOGRE-SOFT-TOTE-BAG-LUNCH-BOX-Backpack_W0QQitemZ280139989812QQihZ018QQcategoryZ1524QQssPageNameZWDV WQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem The totes are only $7.99 at TRU and with 33% off, they knocked $2.64 off my purchase; on top of that, I had taken their 10-15 min. survey on the phone to get a $3 off coupon. I paid less than $3.00 for my Poke Ball! The tote is insulated, but, I imagine you can use it for more than just lunch! Here's the TRU weekly ad: http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=2649670&catalog_name=Roto_I2_07I'm still scraping my jaw off the floor over the E-Bay pricing. Really, you just need to take a look at TRU before you pay 5x the sale price! Yikes! The Basic Fun keychains I saw at Target were from Series 12: http://www.basicfun.com/products/genProductsDetail.asp?CATNID=1207&CIID=cpr_1929&NextLocation=31&SearchNodeName=&SearchCATNID=&SearchOn=0&SearchText= TRU had Series 13: http://www.basicfun.com/products/genProductsDetail.asp?CATNID=1207&CIID=cpr_1947&NextLocation=32&SearchNodeName=&SearchCATNID=&SearchOn=0&SearchText= Series 14 is on the site, Manaphy movie themed, but, I haven't seen these in-store yet: http://www.basicfun.com/products/genProductsDetail.asp?CATNID=1207&CIID=cpr_1987&NextLocation=33&SearchNodeName=&SearchCATNID=&SearchOn=0&SearchText= I had a chance to see the Jakks Battle Dome set in-box at Target over the weekend: http://www.toywiz.com/pjpbdp.htmlIt's $49.99 and includes an exclusive--and very cute--Raichu figure. Click the scan to enlarge the pic on the site; you can see the "elevator," trap doors and battle arena game on top. On the box, they show the attack bases sets set up around the base of the Dome. A Pokemon Center comes with the Dome set; it appears to be a cardboard foldout/construction you put together. The Dome looks like a neat way to display some of your favorite figures and will probably provide younger fans an opportunity to pretend battle for hours. I'm hoping Jakks will consider releasing some trainer figures; I'd really like to see what they could do with Ash and Team Rocket considering how nice the sculpts are on many of the Pokemon figures. More to come, I'm sure. Still waiting on the mini-plush! Pika! Mimi! Loretta
