Looking for a bargain on those new Pokemon mini-plush? Hunt down a Meijer store in your area; my local Meijers have them for $4.99, which is a dollar less than the other stores (Wal-Mart, Target,

Kaybee/K*B) that are carrying the toys. I have to sheepishly admit that like my Bunearys in my Diamond game, my beanie Bunearys are multiplying-! :O Pachirisu and Pikachu may be the hottest in the set, but, like Pikachu in the anime brushing away Buneary's tears, I can't walk away from that little bunny pout!

Live near a Japanese market? I found this new set of Bandai figure reissues this weekend:

I also spotted the island figure sets I mentioned previously:

and keychains for the 10th Japanese Pokemon movie including Pikachu, the starters, Dialga, Palkia and Darkrai all of which have a motion feature (I believe the Pikachu's cheeks light up when you gently tug the keychain; another has eyes that close and the legendaries spin if you move the button on the Poke ball upon which they sit).

Additionally, Meijer just got in Deluxe D&P figures, Dialga, Palkia, Electivire and Lucario, $9.99 ea.

They also have a shelf ready to receive the "Ultimate" Jakks large Pikachu plush, $39.99. Haven't seen it yet, tho'. However, one Meijer I visited over the weekend had a big endcap display of Pokemon TCG products including the NEW D&P tins with the Level X promos (Infernape, Torterra, Empoleon) for $15.99.

I did quite well with the tin I bought; out of the 4 boosters, I pulled 2 foil rares (incl. Manaphy) and 2 reverse foil rares (incl. Lucario), so, the tin was well worth it! I also found a Pichu common card, which isn't exactly newsworthy, but, you know how I feel about cute Pokemon! ;)
