I happened upon copies of the second box set of Diamond & Pearl DVD’s set out early at my local entertainment/appliance store this past weekend. Now, when I buy things this close to the holiday, I usually sack them away for the big morning; however, I just could not wait and can report that I was laughing heartily as I watched Dawn and her antics trying to come to terms with Pachirisu. Although Pachirisu reminded me a lot of Skitty as it chased its tail, I waxed nostalgic about Pikachu’s attitude toward Ash when he first acquired it. Anyhow, my report today is a gift suggestion for parents; the DVD set is due out Tuesday 11/4… and Wal-mart is finally starting to get more boxes of the latest mini plush wave… so…

When I opened the DVD set, I noticed the discs themselves had Buneary and Pachirisu artwork, keeping with the Dawn outer box theme. Wait, this looks familiar… and then it dawned on me! The poses are mirrored by the new Battle Dimension poses of Buneary and Pachirisu mini plush! Pachirisu is giggling and Buneary is holding its head, probably embarrassed or blushing about Pikachu? ;) What a great gift idea to pair this DVD box with one or both of these super cute plushes. As far as the plush go, it seems the Pikachu and Drifloon are the hottest of this wave, as I have not seen them yet, they have been scarfed up by time I managed to get to the store. Today is Sunday and I plan to hit Target after I finish cleaning the “Buneary” cage. As of Saturday, Target and TRU did not yet have any new plush; Wal-mart has been the only place I’ve found the new wave of minis and Meijer is the only place I’ve found the deluxe electronics.

Back to the Buneary cage and Battle Dimension box 2 on the TV… Pika!
